The white-water rafting action is led by a world-class safety experience guides on the Nile that lead the assault over various rapids depending on client’s appetite for adventure. The action begins with a safety briefing on a quitter stretch of the Nile river – an important session as it will enhance your experience. Here, you meet your captain and the crew that takes you through safety preps, dos and don’ts, paddling techniques, rope handling procedures and flip sessions.
After the briefing, the assault begins from low and gentler Nile rapids, gaining momentum, fun and excitement along. Swimming experience is not required for the activity, but it comes handy.
It is important to note that the guides will ONLY take you as far as you’re willing to go and your appetite for adventure.
Itinerary Plan for 1 Day White Water Rafting Safari Jinja
The white water rafting safari begins with an early pick you from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe by our Untamed Uganda guide to transfer you to Jinja – a drive that should take about 2.5 to 3 hrs depending on the day’s traffic. You will be received at the rafting starting point by a rafting guides team, who then will take you through a brief session on the activity. The rafting guide crew comprises of a captain, his crew, kayak escort rescue team and a cameraman to capture those moments as you take on the rapids.
The activity duration is a half-a day plan lasting up to 6 hrs over a 15km of wild rapids with a snack/lunch break in between to regroup and also to appreciate scenery and excellent birdlife on the Nile banks.
Thereafter you will be picked from the end point to be transferred back to Kampala/Entebbe.
